Cam’s Camping Socks Alternate Wider Toe

Changes to numbers on page 3 are noted here in BOLD type. Note that there are no changes for size small.

Continue in pattern as set, without decreasing, until foot measures approx 1 1/2 (1 1/2, 1 3/4, 2 ) in/ 3.75 (3.75, 4.5, 5 ) cm less than desired foot length, ending with an even numbered row of the chart. (See page 4 for foot lengths based on shoe size).

Right Toe:

Knit all sts, removing remaining marker. Rearrange sts slightly by moving last st from needle 2 to needle 3.

Begin toe decreases:

Rnd 1: Needle #1: Knit to 3 sts from end, k2tog, k1.

Needle #2: K1, ssk, knit to 3 sts from end, k2tog, k1.

Needle #3: K1, ssk, knit to end.

Rnd 2: Knit all sts.

Repeat these two rnds- 3 (3, 3, 4) times more. 18 (22, 26, 26) sts.

Now repeat first rnd only – 2 (2, 3, 3) times. 10 (14, 14, 14) sts.

Knit the sts from needle #1 onto needle #3. You now have only 2 needles, with 5 (7, 7, 7) sts on each. Graft these sts together using kitchener stitch. (See p 4.)
