This hat is worked in two colors of DK weight yarn. You will need 50 (69) yards/ 46 (63) meters of crown color, and 60 (77) yards/ 55 (70) meters of brim color. A great way to use up left overs!
Modular knitting techniques are used in this design. The middle section of the hat is knit first, each triangle is knitted onto the previous one and then joined to form a circle. Stitches are picked up along the long edges to knit the crown and brim in garter stitch in the round. Triangular earflaps are worked downward from the brim and finish in i-cord ties. There is no seaming.
The pattern consists of four pages. As always, the pattern has been professionally tech edited, and also test knit, to be clear and free of errors.
